Reference values must be uploaded for all hours during which flexibility can be activated. Once transactions have been completed on the market, it is no longer possible to upload reference values for the requested hours, which may result in the delivery not being validated and compensation being withheld. Depending on the product you are trading on the market, the process leading up to activation and delivery varies.

  • For Intraday Direct Orders: Submit the reference plan no later than H-4 (four hours before delivery).

  • For other products: Submit the reference plan no later than 09:00 D-1 (the day before delivery).

Uploading of reference data can be done via or with the web UI on the page Reference plans.

To view and export historic reference data, use .

Manage reference plans

On this page, you can download a template and fill in reference values for your resource. These plans can be used to validate your organization's delivery of flexibility.

Download template

At the top of the page, you will find the "Download template" button, which opens a dialog box where you can select the resource and time period. Open the downloaded template in e.g. Excel and fill in the power values per hour (specified in Megawatts). If decimal values need to be entered, use a period and not a comma, e.g. 1.5 instead of 1,5. Finally, remember to save the file.

Open file & Upload

Once the template is complete, you can upload it by selecting "Open file." Locate the saved file and double-click it. All reference values will now be listed with timestamps and volume in MW. You can also see a visualization of the plan in a graph. Check that everything looks correct and use the "Upload" button to complete the process.

Note that you can update reference values as long as no activations have occurred for the relevant hours. The easiest way is to modify the power values in the template and upload it again, which will overwrite the existing plan.
