Here you'll find important platform terms and what they mean.

Term	Definition
Activation	The grid owner’s purchase of flexibility for delivery.
API	Application Programming Interface. Used to establish system-to-system communication between actors. Requires integration with the platform.
Availability Order	Represents the network owner’s request to prepare flexibility resources for potential availability remuneration, and these quantities can then be activated if needed.
Availability Transaction	The result of an allocation of availability, from the network owner to the provider. May include availability remuneration for the provider depending on the status of activation and delivery.
Clearing	Offers with lowest activation price is awarded quantities. Executed when a tender is finished and results in availability transactions.
Direct Order	Represents the grid owner’s request to prepare flexibility resources for delivery, and these quantities can then be activated for remuneration.
DSO	Distribution System Operator, also known as a network owner or grid company.
Flexibility Order	Represents the provider's offer to deliver to the network owner, and these quantities can be activated as needed for remuneration.
Flexibility Product	Used to define the trading rules for transactions on the flexibility market.
Flexibility Transaction	The result of an activation of flexibility, from network owner to supplier. Can include activation remuneration for the supplier depending on the delivery.
FSP	Flexibility Service Provider
Offer	The provider's offer to the network owner regarding availability or direct orders. Includes information about activation remuneration for the offered flexibility.
Reference Plan	Also called baseline. Indicates the planned level of consumption for a resource if flexibility is activated.
Resource	Assets of a provider that can deliver flexibility. Can be a heat pump installation, an industry, battery storage, etc.
Substation	Assets of a network owner that can request availability and activate flexibility according to market behavior.
Tender	The network owner's request from the market of trading with flexibility products for a specified time period.
